An odd little article of man who helped change history, but did he really only have a few sets of cloths that were all the same?

Time and time again we hop down the endless rabbit hole trying to answer the ultimate questions about the existence of humans. Who are we? Where do we come from? Why are we here? What is our earthbound purpose?

The Mayans created a calendar accurate centuries ahead to keep track of the celestial world. Henry the Navigator sponsored Portuguese map makers and brave sailors to push the known boundaries of the 15th century. Newton developed the theory of gravity, while the two Wright brothers from Ohio dared defy this force of nature. Human history is filled with explorers and scholars who pushed the limits of understanding the world we know. However, this quest to understand more always leads to more questions than answers. Maybe that is why it is far easier to simply say the reason we are here is all relative.

Albert Einstein is a man that needs no introduction. You would truly be hard pressed to find a human being on this planet over the age of 10 that has not heard of this Brilliant mind. He formed the “Theory of Relativity”, with which he proved that light travels at the same speed for all that observed it no matter where they are located. Another theory he’s known for is the mass-energy equivalence equation, better known as E=MC². And as brilliant as it is, it also led to the unfortunate creation of the Atomic Bomb Nonetheless, we cannot deny this man was a genius.

Enough of telling you stuff you already know I want to try and educate you a little bit more about something you may not. So here is a little insight to Einstein’s thoughts about Grooming (Bet you didn’t think that was coming!). He was quoted saying,

“If I were to start taking care of my grooming, I would no longer be my own self.”

Elsa, Albert’s second wife, was the one that took care of Einstein’s grooming and dress attire needs. There are rumors that float around the inter-webs about Einstein only wearing the same thing day after day. Although this seems like such a logical thing to do, and probably what makes this story so believable, it is simply untrue. Elsa would have probably been very hurt and upset by these stories. Since it was her that kept Einstein looking great at any formal dinner or other fancy event and tried her best on a daily basis to keep him dressed fairly decent and looking dapper. She probably had a very difficult time with that hair of his though.

Even a man like Einstein, or at least his wife, knew that looking presentable and being fashion forward mattered. He did wear a marvelous mustache for nearly 50 years.

I want to leave you with a few things Einstein left the world with: perseverance is priceless, focus on the present, the imagination is powerful, live in the moment, follow your curiosity, make mistakes, learn the rules and then play better, do not expect different results and, the last thing is something that is very near and dear to cultivation of a much better world, create value. Creating value in life is important for a community to grow and become a place worth living.
